Testimonials

As a physical geographer, I was attracted to the Department of Geography at Texas A&M not only because of shared research interests with my committee chair, but also because of the quality (in terms of research and publications) of the other faculty members in the department. In addition to excellent mentoring and the encouragement of students' professional growth through meeting presentations and publication, the Department of Geography has state of the art computing facilities along with the most recent software for analyzing spatial phenomena. Lastly, the Department of Geography's position within the College of Geosciences allows for a considerable amount of interaction with other earth-science disciplines via professional colloquia, courses, and interdisciplinary collaboration on research.
