College Station is one of the best places for a student when it comes to living expenses. When I hear from friends elsewhere in the United States about how much they pay for rent, utilities, and even food; I just feel very lucky to be here. I live in a nice apartment with a roommate and it costs me about $400 including the utilities. However, the affordability is not the best thing about being here. The people are great. My graduate education has been so fulfilling and satisfying because of the relationships I formed with people from all around the world. Graduate education here is like being in an honor class. The finest people, best brains, and talents of the planet are here; and it is just so amazing to be able to establish long-lasting friendships with them.
