Process

  1. Prospective student submits application fee, test scores, transcripts, forms, letters, and documents to specific department.
  2. Prospective student completes and submits electronic application to TAMU via ApplyTexas by 6 pm on any business day.
  3. ApplyTexas routes completed application to TAMU on the next business day following submission.
  4. TAMU Office of Admissions and Records (OAR) enters student information into computer system, assigns/confirms student ID number (UIN), and loads application data into shared viewing system.
  5. Applicant receives an acknowledgement of receipt, UIN for Net-ID activation and ability to access AIS, which will allow viewing of acceptance decision.
  6. Department reviews the application and routes acceptance decision to OAR.
  7. OAR enters decision into the computer system and mails paper letter to applicant.
  8. Applicant views decision in AIS.
