Graduate Advisors' Workshop

The Office of Graduate Studies will hold two Graduate Advisors' Workshops on Wednesday, July 16, and Friday, July 18, in room 224 of the MSC. See the link below for the daily schedule of workshop sessions. We plan to have a series of 30-minute overviews and a open forum question/answer session. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The hope is that we will generate a good dialogue between the graduate advisors and various entities on campus who work with graduate students and graduate student issues.

During the sessions themselves, we plan to not take questions other than clarification about the topics being presented. All general questions will be discussed during the open forum, which will go as long as there are questions to be answered. We hope that presenting the needed information in sessions and then having everyone come back together for the open forum will be a more effective way of presenting the essential, but sometimes routine, information. In addition to the workshop sessions, we will provide an updated Graduate Advisor's Handbook containing essential information for graduate advisors.

Please chose one workshop date and RSVP to Julie Wilson (jdwilson@tamu.edu) by Friday, July 11.
