The Thesis Office wants to help students plan effectively for their thesis or dissertation and encourages graduate students and advisors to attend an informational seminar on either Wednesday, September 16, from 8:30-10:00 a.m. or Thursday, September 17, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Sterling Evans Library, Room 204E. The seminar is highly recommended for graduate students expecting to graduate during 2009-2010 and their graduate advisors. For those who cannot attend, the seminar will be webcast live on Thursday from 2-3:30 p.m.

Hands-on demonstrations to preview the electronic submittal system, as well as to receive instruction on using the Thesis Office Microsoft templates, will be offered on both days. Additionally, Walk-In Clinics will be held to provide one-on-one formatting and style guidance. All graduate students, faculty and staff are invited.

Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with the Thesis Office staff, while receiving an overview of critical processes, learning essential requirements and guidelines for a thesis/dissertation, obtaining information about services offered, and discovering electronic resources available. Refreshments will be served. RSVP online at http://thesis.tamu.edu no later than Monday, September 14.
