About the Office of Graduate Studies
The
Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) maintains the official record for each graduate
student, and in this role serves as the primary administrative body and overarching
source of information for graduate education. Once a graduate student is
accepted by an academic department or college, OGS assists and facilitates
progression towards completion of a graduate degree through maintenance of
all official documents. Clearance for graduation, including final review
of theses and dissertations when required, is performed by OGS, but the Registrar's
Office is responsible for issuing all transcripts. For specific questions
concerning admission into a
graduate
program, please contact the program or department directly.
The Office of Graduate Studies strives to be a global leader in graduate education, committed to the pursuit of knowledge and the power of intellect. Through exceptional service and unwavering commitment to the highest standards, it advocates for graduate education at Texas A&M University and throughout the State of Texas. Using innovation in technology and rigorous study of best practices, OGS seeks to continually improve its services to the graduate community. The Office of Graduate Studies is committed to a diverse campus climate, enhancement of the graduate experience and development of all students, that they may have an honorable and lasting impact on the world beyond the walls of Texas A&M University.
